Memory Plastic
Memory plastic is a shape duplicate plastic or foam which features low-heat moldable, repetitive shape memory, and with strong structure construction.
When the memory plastic is heated to the critical memory temperature, it can be molded to the surface. The new-formed shape will be obtained after the memory plastic cools down to room temperature. This shape duplicate material can be re-heated and re-shaped many times without loosing its rigidity. When used in an application where the complicated surfaces are to be duplicated, memory plastic is the best alternative to traditional molding process.
The new material represents a breakthrough that will open up a wide variety of applications.
Once the ambient temperature goes above and then below certain threshold values, memory plastics can change shape many hundreds of times.
